Favorite Spooky Films

Young Frankenstein (1974) My English teacher in 10th grade showed us this in class! I am re-watching it now (on HBO Max). One of my goals in life is to have a revolving bookcase in my home triggered by a candle (so I can say, "put ze candle beck!").

The Uninvited (1944) Mom loved this one and we would watch it whenever it was replayed on network TV - usually on Saturday afternoons. They use a wine glass and letter tiles as a sort of Ouija board in the film.

Trollhunter (2010) An early relationship movie for my beloved and me. We still yell "Trrollll!" at each other on occasion.

Dead Snow (2009) Another Norwegian treasure - with Nazi Zombies.

What We Do in the Shadows (2014) We've got this saved in our Amazon library and have re-watched it at least a dozen times. I bought M a t-shirt that says, "Werewolves, not Swearwolves."

Death Becomes Her (1992) Meryl and Goldie magic.

House (1985) Starring William Katz and George Wendt!

Arachnophobia ... watched this one in high school at the house of that girl who stopped being my friend with no explanation. I guess that was my first GHOSTING. Ha. The movie was fun though.

Tremors (1990) Michael Gross and Reba McEntire in their greatest character parts ever.

The Lost Boys (1987). I think I had the soundtrack on cassette. People are strange. With baby, evil Kiefer Sutherland.
